Default What if there was no wastegate spring???

I was wondering is there a possibility to run without a wastegate spring. Is it possible to regulate the boost with just a boost controller??

If you dont have a wastegate spring you wont make any boost. All the gases will bypass the turbo and go through the open wastegate.

It depends on whether the engine was tuned at a lower boost level. Don't take a chance... at least check and see if it is safe on a dyno... and tune if you must.

Adding to this.. What turbo, manifold, downpipe, and wastegate are installed currently?
