I'm looking into to buying a dual stage ebc, one that I can switch from two different boost settings. However, I'd liked to buy one that eliminates the possibility of boost creep/spike. I read an article in Sport Compact (1/05)mentioning that the Greddy Profec B did a poor job of limiting boost creep compared to the Power Enterprise unit they replaced it with. Just wanted some good insight on which ebc's are best when keeping this in mind, I'm new to the darkside but I want to play it safe. I'm also interested in any other alternatives to limiting boost creep, if you have suggestions.

nope never had a problem. Ran it to 32 psi on my mr2, and 36psi on mulitple supras.

boost creep is mostly in the turbo setup not in the boost controller. You either have the wastegate in a bad place or its too small to move the exhaust gasses needed to keep boost pressure constant. That or you just dont have it set up right.

I was running a greddy proffec b spec 2 and loved it; never really got to play with it much before my engine exploded but it held boost pressure like a champ. It wasn't even that hard to set up like some people say but I also have an IQ higher than a rock so I guess that puts me at an advantage to them.

I take it you didn't ride on short bus, huh Thanks for the advice, still learning about fi, been stuck with all motor too long

so many people complain about how extremly hard it is to program a profec b spec 2 and get the settings just right. first time out i had mine almost dead on. a bit of tweaking and bam.
Some people just can't understand these things i guess.

but anyway; just about any EVC on the market will do what its supposed to. if you get gnarly boost response after you install one check your settings but you may also have a problem in the turbo system. When i fixed the massive pre-turbo exhaust leak a LOT of quirky little problems went away.
