Im making a new thread on the SRT4 once I finish my emails.
I have made 3 NA headers. They are similar in design to the Mini-Me(actually, vice-versa). 2" primaries, short runners. Basically exactly what is on the RWD del Sol!
Good for Supercharged applications Im told. I have felt the gains over a stock header NA though, they are VERY large!

I would be concerned about the handling of the car after this mid/rear conversion. This is a very exciting project, however id assume to be mostly used for drag racing. You must be a rather sharp mechanic to do all the fabricating that obviously went with this complete swap. Personally, if I wanted a fast RWD car, I would have sold the del sol and began with a S13. For cost concerns only of course. If i had a twin engine AWD del sol sleeper pushing 700hp, I would feel to be the richest sexiest man in the world.

Me too! Im not even close to done w/the bracing. Even then, its still probably going to end up being a novelty item. I picked up a DC Teg awhile back, perfect body for two engines. Hatches are sweet. That, and the car WILL stay in-tact a lot more than this one(no tubed front end for example).
For now though, just FWD summer, possibly winter beater. Insurance on the Peon at $290 a month is kinda pinching me right now!

no, Im supposed to have my tie rod ends any time though, as soon as I get them, Ill finish up the chassis. After that, its a matter of tossing an engine together, getting it in the car.

plus you want the gears u race in to be as close to u as possible. think about it. takes more effort to slam 2nd in a rhd car.

Im getting a complete H23 engine sometime next week to bolt my H22 head onto(****, might just keep it H23). This way, I can just slap the **** together and go, rather than building a new engine(at least two days for me on my schedule).
All I have left to do is finish the chassis/components, and its good to go!

i can not wait to see it. i am kicking around the same idea with CRX HF it was fun as a turbo car but i think a turbo RWD will be more fun and after building 3 FSAE cars it should not be to hard to do.
but i really want to look yours over and get some more ideas i think i am going to use a front sub fram and then i will have alot less work or so the thought goes but i want to check out the shift links and stuff.

Nope, but I just got the H23 that I may bolt in(its already assembled, done) instead of the H22. Easier to tune, and torquey enough for what the car is. Possibly a lil better with boost too! Im still waiting on my tie rod ends, once I get them, I will finish everything up!

The SideWinders will be made on a "car in-shop" basis only. Too many problems for the average Joe to work out, so they are discontinued. They will be yanked off the site sometime this week.

Glad I got mine when I did then! Only clearance issue I had was having to beat in the hood skeleton a tad for the TiAL gate to clear. I love my manifold!
