hehe. To my knowledge, there is only one other thread thats longer, and thats the "New welding thread". Boys and girls, I should be getting the tie rod ends that I need to finish everything within the next couple of weeks. This means I can toss my newly aquired H23 in there, and run that. 2.3 liters of no-Vtec bliss. Schweet(for now).

You'll have an extra set of hands to help soon. See you in a few weeks, stock up on the Beast and trail mix

Eh...I really only have a solid two weeks into this. Probably 80-100 hours. If I wouldve had all the engine parts, I wouldve had a running car at the time too!

Default Put the H22 head on your H23!!!

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Tinker219 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">
trudat
Im getting a complete H23 engine sometime next week to bolt my H22 head onto(****, might just keep it H23). This way, I can just slap the **** together and go, rather than building a new engine(at least two days for me on my schedule).
All I have left to do is finish the chassis/components, and its good to go!</TD></TR></TABLE>
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Tinker219 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Nope, but I just got the H23 that I may bolt in(its already assembled, done) instead of the H22. Easier to tune, and torquey enough for what the car is. Possibly a lil better with boost too! Im still waiting on my tie rod ends, once I get them, I will finish everything up!</TD></TR></TABLE>

To be honest it would probably take you no time at all to swap the head on... and i promise you it would be worth the minute effort... I'm not sure exactly what your plans were with the h23 or the h22, low boost im guessing if they are stock bottom ends, but if you were to swap the h22 head on your compression would be about 9.3:1, perfect for boost, and then you would have the torque and vtec... and trust me, vtec is fuuuun with 2.3L of displacement... but seriously im just telling you this because it would be so simple if you have an h23 and an h22, it is a bolt on quick cylinder head swap... Here is some info about mine if you wanna know more details... https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=795321

RWD H22 del sol huh? weeeeeeeeeeeeee

Wow can't believe I missed this thread for so long. Takes a real expert to pull something like this off... since I don't feel like reading through the 40 pages of madness will someone fill me in? Is the car running? Any #'s? Will he be slapping a motor in the front too? Hehe....
That's going to be one sick ride. I wish I had mechanical skillz like that.

I do plan on the Vtec head, mainly because I do not have an intake manifold for the H23.
No the car is not running/driving yet. I need my custom Tie-rod ends to finish the rear end. Then a couple of extra braces, the wiring, the fuel lines/tank, radiator lines, and drop the engine in. So in a word, I have a LONG way to go. I could probably get it done in a weekend though.
