Running no thermostat???

Re: Running no thermostat??? (On Point EK!!!!!!!!)
At idle, there's a chance of overheating. The coolant moves through the radiator fast enough that it doesn't have a chance to lose it's heat. Seen it happen before.

Re: Running no thermostat??? (DSF)
Not to mention the fact the coolant moves throught the engine so fast it doesn't have a chance to absorb the heat. Your temp gauge reads the temp of the coolant so everything looks good, nice low temp gauge. But if the coolant isn't removing the temp from the engine like it's supposed to, where's that heat really going?????

Re: Running no thermostat??? (dust)
you can run a restrictor plate in its place. just have a piece of metal in there with a hole the size of the thermostat opening and you have a 0º thermostat! as cool as this is, I don't think it's necessary. you probably need to find some other cooling solution...try a lower temp thermostat AND a thermoswitch for the fan.

Or you could run the thermostat...after drilling holes in it, that way there still is some sort of blockage to slow the coolant down.
