How long should the flex pipe be on my dp?
Planning on making a 3'' dp...how long should the flex pipe be and what diameter should it be? Since it has to taper down to 3''.

If you look at the dp's art made the flex pipe is no where near 1' and the flex pipe is a bit larger than the diameter of the dp because it tapers in and then connects to the dp piping which is 3''. http://imglib.************/index.cgi?cmd=viewcat&id=154
To me it looks like the flex pipe is about 4'' long.
To me it looks like the flex pipe is about 4'' long.

What you're seeing is a 3" flex pipe with a stainless steel braid OVER it which makes it look larger than the 3" piping. The "taper" you see is just the endcaps for the stainless braid. Buy the 3" flex section from rrengineering.

Yeah the flex pipe might not be 1 foot long, maybe 6" - 8", but the end pieces on the end of the flex, that allows you to wled it to the down pipe are about 2" on each side, so 6" + 2" + 2" = 10", which is about a foot. you might want to ask dustin or arturbo.
