road race/scca turbo civic?
what do you think would be the best bore size/setup for a reliable road race/scca turbo civic?
here is the set up i am currently planning:
b18c1 block
rs sleeves 83mm??
weisco pistons 9:5~
rods?
blue print, balance, polish
balanced rods and pistons
new honda bearings
arp head studs
power enterprise timing belt
stock type r head
custom 6 puck clutch
type r flywheel
p28
hondata s200 w/boost option
20~psi is the most this motor is going to see.
thanks in advance

Re: (rainforest)
there have a been a few posts like these already. but if anything id say get a quality rod as u WILL be seeing high loads and rpm's. oil cooler is a necessity. good ventilation for the coolers (ic, rad, oil). gauges or other monitoring devices. baffled oil pan with increased capacity. thats about all i can think of write now. goodluck with it though

Re: (lalspeed)
like this guy said, lots of cooling. i never had a problem with all stock **** and fluidine radiator boosted. this year i have an oil cooler, shimmed hood, and im getting another front bumper for my "track" bumper. im basicly gonna take a big *** holesaw to the upper part of it (integra) for more air. its not as bad as people say. i beat the expletive out of my stock block turbo ls on the road course and never had a problem

Autocross you can go to EM or SM. Not sure what the classes are for Roadracing.
Where is my $75k

Re: (2SLO)
he can run the car, thats no big deal
he will be placed on the class with BMW's Corvettes, etc just for being turbo
most of the car clubs give points for the modifications and at the end, the total points choose his class
the Main thing when road racing or autocrossing often!!!!
- get a oill cooler
- get a bigger oil pan, like a moroso, so theres more oil in the motor, and the heat disipates better on more oil, that way ur bearings dont go fucked
- get a good hi flow FAN for the radiator... and maybe a fluidyne radiator...
