Hey guys, im going to be putting my engine back together soon and was wondering if i need to retorque the head studs once its done some miles. Its a B16.
The spec sheet that came with the ARP bolts says to do them to 65lbs using the assembly lube but does not mention retorquing after so many miles. Oh and the bolts are new if it makes any difference.

Once you torque them down once they are fine. Just be sure to use the moly lube that comes with them and torque the bolts in proper order.

Thats good then because its a pain having to take the cams out just to tweek them up.

Im not doubting TeStUdO but any one else have opinions on this?

When using regular head bolts its a good idea, but with arp's...its not needed.

not needed as ARP don't really strech. I don't think OEMs need it either.

Cool, thanks very much guys. Just waiting for new main and rod bearings and i can start putting it back together. Thanks to benjithx ive got some nice forged arias pistons to drop in. When i took the old pistons out the ring lans and most of a ring just dropped off.
