Default Torque for rod bolts?

I bought some second hand crower rods and bolts so they came with no manufacturers specs, does anyone know what the torque setting should be? Also is it wise to use any lube on the bolts when assembling. Also does anyone thread lock theres?

The first anyone would need to know in order to help you is the diameter of the bolt.

Crower finally got back to me. They said 25ft lbs using engine oil as lube. Does this sound about right?

One can use any type of lube when using the stretch gauge method.
When using a torque wrench one must use the supplied lube which comes with the bolts.

Ive done a search on the stretch method and it does look to be a lot better. I think i might get a set of new bolts. Just for reference Crower said 25 ftlbs using 10/40 engine oil as lube.
