Re-using ARP Headstuds and Rod bolts?
Hey guys,
I am pulling my motor apart soon here to change a few things as well as do a once over on the setup. This will be the third ise for everything once reassembled.
My question is, can I reuse my ARP headstuds again? What about the rod bolts. Should I just give ARP a call and ask them for new torque specs or these questions period? Im thinking I will call on Monday, but just want to here from some of your experience.
Its a 450 whp setup btw. Does anyone have any good or bad experience doing this?

Generally speaking there is no problem reusing them. It's recommended to record the original length of the rod bolts before the initial installation. Then you can tell when they have stretched beyond spec. I have reused head studs and rod bolts on race engines for years with several freshen ups a year.
