Readings on A/F guage
Ok, with the baby-steps help from this board I managed to finally get my a/f guage running. Thanks guys!
I'd like to get some comparisons with you guys on the readings I'm getting. I'm still basically stock now; just the cai is on.
Neutral @ Idle: jumps around randomly
Neutral @ highway speeds: no reading
Light or medium throttle: goes between barely lean to rich in a back and forth pattern.
WOT: a couple into the green, rich area.
How do yours compare? and are my readings normal for a stock LS?

Re: Readings on A/F guage (Teg4e)
most guys on this board, am i myself agree, that those units
are just a piece of junk.
only read reason to have one is to read rich at WOT under boost..
but yeah mine is a disco ball of fire too

Re: Readings on A/F guage (Teg4e)
I can help you with this one...
1. Autometer a/f gauge is 90% piece of ****, worthless...
2. My readings are the same
however ONE redeeming factor is recently for no reason around 3-4000rpm I was hitting dead lean while in boost... thought it was odd, let this happen a few more times to make sure it wasn't the gauge being random. I then actually tuned my AFC for the first time and bumped it up 10% at 3000 and 7% at 4000rpm under hi and lo throttles... now it reads full into the rich all the time in boost.... I suppose I got some use out of the thing.

Neutral @ Idle: jumps around randomly-normal
Neutral @ highway speeds: no reading-good,its going full lean at cruise speed, like it should
Light or medium throttle: goes between barely lean to rich in a back and forth pattern-good,coming off of no reading full lean as u give it more gas
WOT: a couple into the green, rich area.-should be steady at wot, looks good
How do yours compare? and are my readings normal for a stock LS?

when in open loop the car is taking sensor inputs and is using that to determine the amount of fuel. but when you go WOT it switches to closed loop operations and the amount of fuel is determined by a fuel map sotred in the ECU?
someone correct me if I'm wrong.
