Air/Fuel Ratio Gauge readings?
Hi i have a autometer a/f ratio gauge installed in my car. I know that they aren't that accurate with the readings varying all over the place but today I took my friend for a drive and he commented how my a/f ratio gauge fluctuates too much. This got me paranoid.
On idle it would sit on lean for a few seconds then it would move its way to stoich and rich and this repeats as a cycle on idle. When cruising under light constant throttle it fluctuates between the higher lean LED's to the lower rich LED's.
I was just wondering if my readings sound normal or maybe I have a broken o2 sensor? Im running stock ECU btw.
Any input appreciated

That IS normal operation.
If his does NOT fluctuate like yours, he could have a problem (if he's using the stock ECU too).

exactly...its fine. sounds like his is wired up wrong. the only real time its important to watch that autometer guage is at WOT anyway. thats when its most likely the accurate its gonna be.
