Default Quiet Turbo

My turbo is very quiet...I can only hear it when I'm boosting really hard, but its pretty much drowned out by the sound of rushing air...but for the most part...its completely silent....even when spooling. Is anyone experiencing the same thing?

you cant expect any turbo to make a rumbling noise!! it isnt an express train, if you're running at full boost then you may just hear a whistling or whoosing noise

I cant hear my turbo that good either, even at WOT. The BOV only sounds good when i build 8 psi, but when i try to rev it it barley makes a sound.

That is normal. If you have a deformation or a clip in the blades you will hear the turbo whine, but under normal operation it should be quiet.

If you run an open exhaust you will hear it much louder.

Most diesel trucks will whine loudly because their turbos are huge!

The way I see it, the quieter the better.

Yes. I would like it quiet also. My turbo is noisy. I was racing my friend on the freeway, all he could hear was the air rushing to intake manifold. He couldn't even hear my thermal .

Mine is real quiet until boosting hard. Not my friends prelude though. He has a t3/t4 on the 2.3 liter. Just cruising around you can hear it spooling a little. All you have to do i give it a little gas and it sounds like a damn jet ...tight as ****.

yeah..that's what I thought it'd be like...but nothing but sounds of rushing air. I see these GT-R's scream by with their turbos blaring loud as hell and it sounds awesome!
