quick 76 racegas ? would it do anything?
I have a built b16 turbo, 392 whp at church with 91 octane at 14 lbs.
The thing is this is not my DD. I put about 1000 miles on her a year. The closet station to my house has 76 race gas...not sure if 100 or 110 octane. The ? Is.......since I don't drive her very often and can afford using this gas, and having the urge for a couple more ponies, would this help my hatch with power or be able to make the power more safely?
After a retune of course.
Would this help at all or have no use for me. Thank you in advance.

Just putting race gas in won't change the performance of the engine without it being tuned for it. Race gas allows for more ignition advance dude to higher threshold of knock. That being said adding a few gallons to 93 will just make it safer fuel. If your going to run straight 110 octane fuel tune it for that fuel and you will pickup hp
So just confirming, if I get a retune and the only change is the gas I will pick up some extra hp? Would it be like 5 or 20. What is folks expierences?
yeah but its worth changing your set up for e85, its a high octane fuel at half the price of 110 octane race gas, even though your mpg is less, benefits still out weigh the negatives

That is a matter of perspective, since it is highly corrosive to rubber seals and such in your fuel system, and is largely unavailable in most locations. The nearest station to me in the philadelphia area is 100 miles away.
110 is down the street and I don't mind paying for it due to me not driving very often. That said would it be worth paying 300 to retune with this in the tank. Just straight 110, or am I wasting my cash cause the difference is minimal?
I tried searching all over the net, some people say there will be no diff and then some say its night and day. Just curious what diff it would be.........a tune with 91 oct @395 whp or a tune with 110 oct @ ??? whp
I'm sure someone has some type of comparison info.

It depends entirely on what turbo you have. If you're already near maxing out your turbo on pump gas it won't make much of a difference. But if you're running something large like a GT35R and running 400 WHP on pump gas running straight 110 octane would let you make 550+ or 600+ WHP.
