Default Fuel question

Local 76 station gets $9.99 per gallon for 100 octane.....local airport gets $3.86 for 100LL (100 octane low lead)

Why wouldn't I run the 100LL? Seems odd to me...aviation gas is much higher quality fuel but costs less?

Here in ca we only have 91 octane supreme....otherwise I could probably get away with just 93
