Question for tial bov users
I was wondering if your tial bov is open at idle? The one on my buddies car is open at idle and closes as you give it throttle. Thanks in advance for your replies. Paul

yeah mine in open at idle, there is a vacuum in the intake manifold with the throttle shut. This causes it to stay open.

Re: (c2nap)
Because when the engine is in vacuum (idling or between shifting), the valve must be open for the pressure to release from the charge pipes.
Also on some BOV's you can adjust the valve so it's more closed (Get more compressor surge) or more open (More boost leak).

It is not open at idle...and it should not be so just running at idle. Every Tial I have used would remain closed at idle..but would open slightly after you yank the throttle cable from idle.
There are two or three different springs tensions that can come in the 50mm bov.

My vortech always ran open at idle. Im not sure how a bov would work if it didn't open under vacum and close w/ less vacum and in boost?

Re: Question for tial bov users (BROOD)
That's what i thought, 1 buddy has one that is closed at idle and another that is open at idle, therefore, i thought we had gotten a defective bov. For the people running the tial bov that is closed at idle, what psi spring are u running? Thanks, Paul
