Default question about turbo and missing links

planning to run jdm d16a with virgin p28ecu and t3/t4 turbo. question is i've been reading about this thing call a "missing link" i just want to know what does this do and do i need it. i was planning before to go with uberdata to tune my ecu but if i use a missing link can i run turbo in my motor without tuning my ecu?(boosting low i mean, about 5lbs). thanks.

The missing link does nothing for your tuning, all it does is prevent the MAP sensor from seeing boost, you will still need to get it tuned.

yes, if you run an inline fuel pump, FMU, and a missing link on low boost you can get by. (key words: get by. you'll make more power and have good control of your motor w/ a chipped ecu.)
