Default Questions about tapered 5 bolt 3" flange..did I get the wrong one?

So recently I just bought a 3" flange for my SC-50, Now what I'm used to see is the entire diameter of the whole being 3". What I got was this:

No considering that my turbine wheel exducer is 2.228" is this DP going to be ok to go with in the future if I upgrade or should I get a different flange?

I've never seen a flange that flares from a inner diameter of 2.5 " to 3" like this so any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx

it just tapers out from the 2.5" outlet so you can easily weld on a nice 3" bend inside the small grove and get a good weld on it

looks like a good flange. the sc50 has a 2.5 outlet even a little smaller somethign like 2.322 its a god flange itll flow smooth. reason for this is the garett housings will not support a 3 inch opening, because the flange area on the turbine housing is not as " meaty" as the precision version.

As far as exhaust flow is this going to hurt me at all? What's the difference between a true 3" and this flange other then the weld?

I didn't get a GT series 4 bolt, you can clearly see that there are 5 bolts on the T3 flange in the picture....LOL

that flange will be fine.

1cm of 2.5-3" transition isnt going to effect ur flow rate at all. cmon guy, get real.

I got the same flange for my new 3" 5bolt downpipe
