question about the turbo.
I just noticed something about my turbo, when the car is idling is the little turbine thing suppose to be at a dead stop?
the little fins in the intake side.

Let me make a modification.
Turbo systems that have free flowing exhausts and a hardly any backpressure, yes the turbo can spin. A turbo that doesn't spin at idle is not a sure sign of a problem, because there will be times that it's not spinning.
Just make sure your turbo doesn't leak oil.. that's the main concern. Keep it cool with a turbo timer and make sure your oil feed doesn't have too much pressure.

Performance isnt affected at all if it isnt spinning at idle. A highly loose and free spinning turbo will spin during idle. All that means is that the turbo spins quickly when needed to, and its free spinning. No biggie.
