whos using them? I heard there are two different types of turbo XS manual boost controllers.. whats the difference? anyone have any extra ones laying around they would like to sell?
I have the standard Turbo XS manual boost controller...very easy to use. After you set it up with the first couple of turns, each 360 degree turn thereafter equals a 1psi increase. Pretty damn accurate too.
There is three XS boost controller's,,the regular one,an Hi Po one which hits full boost like 500-800rpm faster and a dual stage one where u can select a low or Hi boost setting with a flip of a switch.....no need for a electronic boost controller when a manual does the job and some of the fastest import drag racer's use manuals such as vinny ten(turbonetic's manual) and Abel Ibarra(XS)
Well if you look at the price differences, really manual probably is the best value. But just from what I've heard, the greddy profec B isn't all that much more expensive plus it's electronic. http://www.xs-engineering.com is the site w/ all that info that you're looking for, I'm interested in one of their intercooler cores, very reasonably priced.
Manual is excellent. I keep it in the armrest console and its fine. As far as the profec B, its great for the low/hi settings at a push of a button if you don't plan on going over 20psi.
Exactly, I'm too lazy to look at xs-engineering.com so does someone want to do a price comparison on the manual BC as opposed to getting a decent deal on ebay for a profec B?

98Psi ITR.....uhh..why would you have a manual boost controller INSIDE your car? It goes in between the vacuum line running to the wastegate......maybe i missed something....thats very odd...

You can do it. You have to run vacuum lines into then back out of the inside of your car. This will result in a very laggy wastegate...not a good thing. Keep the MBC under the hood.
ive also seen ones where its like a normal manual one, but where you would adjust it there is a cable that bends but does not twist going to an adjuster in the car, so that as you twist the adjuster, the cable turns, turning the controller.
i think i have seen these anyway....if not let me know so i can invent them and make my fortune....i could have quite possibly dreamt it becuse i always used to wonder how an in car boost control worked.
