Oh, this view is from the cold side of the turbo, and its a TD04L from a WRX.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Definatley not the best turbo out there, but Im not shooting for a high horsepower monster. Im only looking to get in the 190-200 whp range. Im into autocrossing and dont want to over power the motor and be smoking tires when I come out of tight corners, so I want to keep my power goal very simple. This turbo starts spooling around 2300-2500 rpms and holds untill about 6400-6600 rpms. Since while autocrossing, especially at the courses available to me in my location, Im usually driving around the 3500-6800 range which is a good range of spool on my turbo, and the turbo is good for 240 horses. Thats why I chose this turbo and wanted to take any lengths I had to go to use it, because it fits my goal and build very nicley. Plus I formed my intercooler setup so that I wont have nearly any turbo lag from excessive intercooler piping.
Everything is bolted up now, turbo spools fine, and oil is circulating at a good cycle. Thanks for the help/advice guys.
