Boost problem
Hi, I have a 97 honda accord with an h23 motor w/gt35 turbo. The problem is that I have had the car tuned & it made 16psi @ 443 horse 396 torque w/potential to make more (was a long night and just wanted to get home). The car drove good for a few days & then the boost started to cut out @ 12psi, air/fuel & vac press looks good. @ about 4800rpm it gets to 12psi & holds until 7500rpm. The setup is aem ems & boost solenoid with gt35 turbo, tial wastate & blowoff valve. I have disconnected the wastegate & plugged the vac lines. Tested the solenoid & inspected all of the vac lines & exhaust pipping. We have also swapped the intercooler out. BUT still have the same trouble.
ANY SUGGESTIONS?
ANY SUGGESTIONS?
The only thing I can think of is:
1) Turbo failure
2) Some type clogging in the intake or exhaust
But in the exhaust it is straight through with no cat @ 3". Intake has a custom fabed manifold.
Any ideas?
