Question about hooking up a Oil temp gauge.

Question about hooking up a Oil temp gauge.
Ok, on the back of the Autometer gauge there are places for 3 wires. One says GND ground of course. Another says S for sending unit where the unit is tapped into the oil pan. The last says I. Where does this go?
