question about boosting and charging.
I got a b18c1 with a brand new type-r tranny (0 miles on it). Im looking into buying a turbo or supercharger. At first i wanted to go N/A because it seems really safe, but now i want to boost or supercharge. I hear when you sleeve your block you can run way more boost?? And also i hear my motor is good for everything N/A, boost, supercharger? Would a turbo be safer than a supercharger? I would really want to make atleast 500hp SAFELY. lol. Any helpful feedback would be great!
Whats a good SAFE setup?

With a goal of 500 hp your most efficient route would be turbo.
You'll need forged rods and pistons, and sleeves would help although there are people seeing 500+ on stock sleeves .... but since your wanting super safe I would figure in sleeves too
You'll want to choose fuel management software and having a reputable tuner tune it for you will help you reach your goal and stay "safe"...

Just wondering.. about much money am i looking at? And are the stock cams good enough for 500hp? So is this a good setup just sleeve the block, forged pistons, rods, replace the internals leave the cams alone? And chose a good fuel suppy system? ?

You'll probably want to talk to Earl about building your motor and cost.

You'll need a turbo kit + installation. And you're in TX so I would talk to Jason aka "Stoopid" from Autologic in houston about installation of the kit, fuel management, and tuning. He is know as a very good tuner.
If you don't plan to turn a wrench yourself I would say your lookin at $8-9k.
