Default Turbo QUestion?

How is everybody....I just had a question...I have a 92 hatch with an LS motor I want to turbo charge. I am ordering forged pistions and rods to hold up under boost. I wanted to know if I could run the car with only the new pistions and rods with no turbo.. WIll anything go wrong with out having the turbo.... The reason I want to do this is to make sure I break in the engine before adding boost...Please let me know thatnks guys....WIll

No, the best way to break in the new motor with the turbo is to make sure that the turbo is hooked up. You can then see potential problems as you are breaking in and avoid some issues. Just make sure that with the management that you're using you have a boost cut feature, and break boost in SLOWLY. For example make the boost cut like 4psi. This way you can tell if the pistons "like" the boost, and it keeps you from going overboard.
