Pulled out old oil fitting, found threads attached to it, what should i do?
I have a Stealthmode Line Kit that I bought a little while ago and when I went to pull the old fitting out the first thing I noticed was it was just an NTP fitting, I did not install the fitting on the block the first time I was turbo, so when I pulled the existing NTP fitting I found some of the tread from the hole in the block on the fitting. I put the new fitting in with some sealent and it seems ok, what can I do to fix this?...... obviously it is going to be a nightmare but I dont want to live with the worry of a bandaged oil tap.

If the threads are stripped out you will have to retap it. Not that hard if you can get to it but it's probably pretty tight huh?

about 1/4" of thread came out, the Stealthmode fitting went in without and problems, was not tight or binding.

How do I re-tap w/o getting metal into the engine? What size do I tap to? I have an 1/8 NTP and the next size up from that one.

I believe 3 of my bolts does this and i havent fixed this problem yet but im able to tighten them down a little bit.
My problem was because i use the wrong size thread, not sure if it the same for your case but i think as long as it doesnt leak, you could get by by tighten it up a little bit.
Best idea is to fix it thought, since it could back out or something while you're driving and lose oil pressure, that would be trouble
