Profec B problems.!!! PLEASE HELP
Whats up guys! Well I installed the profec tonight and I had confidence but agan my luck is the best!! Well first off should I hear the motor of the profec attempting to make any noise what so ever?2) As I gas the car it doe not build boost up until about 5k rpm and then proceeds to build slowly there only hitting 5 psi at 7800 rpm!! I shut the profec off to go to normal boost settings and the same occured! 5 psi at 7800rpm literllaly! My source from the profec is t'd off with the fpr vaccum, IN portion is going to pressure soure which is fitting on first charge pipe after turbo, and OUT portion is going to actuator. Again someone please pleas this **** sux *****!! My setup is again a greddy gsr kit. and I had played with the low, hih and balance settings, and dip swithes are set correctly for my turbo with dip switch settings at 4)up3)down2)up1)down. Please any help to get me in the right direction would be great.

Like I told ya buddy, reroute it so that the Profec is out of the picture, if it drives normal, reattach the Profec to the vaccum source, then you'll know if it's the soleniod or the actuator arm is screwey.

no

just for the hell of it, try reversing the IN and the OUT...isnt the IN suppossed to go to the actuator??
Also, is your filter on the vacuum line (to the Profec B) connected the right way? I think the small ridge goes towards the unit...but I dont remember for sure, look closley at the picture.
How were things working before you installed the boost controller? what was your base boost and its repsonse time??
It is a great boost controller, mine works fine, no problems....once you get it figured out you'll love it.
If all esle fails, call GReddy 949.588.8300 and talk with their tech support staff, their great.

Well I totally cancelled the profec out and the problem persisted.. THIS SUX, anyhow I had played with the actuator rod and arm and found to be when my arm shifted all the way to the right it got stuck?? Is this normal? Previous before that i had the rod shorteed all the way and I was pushing about 7.5 psi or 8 and I had full boost at about 3k rpm or 3300. Well I went back and shortened it more and was building boost faster bu still not as good as before. I may just shorten it all the way again. I wanted to set a lowr boost setting to aout 6 psi to set my low setting to 7 and high to 10psi. Oh wel tomorrow I will contine diagnosis.. Makes me wish I probably should have left this **** alone. Thanks so farfor the reply guys.
you'll get it...keep the faith, and NEVER give up!! You need not ever wish never
Hi perfomance - hi maintence, and thats okay cause its well worth it!

That actuator arm sounds suspect to me...it shouldn't stick...if you're having the same problem with/without ProfecB hooked up I wouldnt think it was a problem with the controller...

Just out of curiosity, what would cause that to happen?
edit: By this I mean, how did you come about boosting 20psi
