Default pressure source port on BW s362

I recently picked up a borg s362 turbo. I noticed that it doesn't have a spot on the compressor housing for a pressure source port to go to the wastegate. Is this something that I have to add?

Only if you want to. MANY turbos don't come with a boost pressure source on the housing. The best location is the intake manifold anyway, as the source won't be too strong that it may give a false signal.

But if you want to drill and tap for something like a 1/8th Barbed fitting, go right ahead. Just make sure its towards the end of the compressor cover outlet and not too close to the volute.

ive got a couple unused ports on the manifold I can go off of. Do you have a vacuum diagram on that particular setup? I can find plenty of diagrams from the port on the turbo to the gate. So would I just run the line thatd go on the turbo into an open port on the intake manifold?

No need for a diagram for your specific setup. Its all general like any other Turbo car that's using the intake manifold hooked with a PCV or brake booster as a master vacuum source.

Its always best to use a Vacuum block whenever you can. cleans up the lines, and makes sure you don't "Tee off" too many times, to where it could cause a bad reference or a collapsed line. (That kind of issue isn't found in any "logs" or "maps" or "voltage signals") They're only a couple of bucks, but its worth the headache if something comes loose.

Anywho..Remember that the point of even using the compressor housing, was to connect it to the side port of the wastegate as a boost reference source for the valve to open at the wastegate springs pre-determined time.

Anyway... Here you go as a basic starting point.

ok, that gives me an idea. unfortunately, the car is going to be running a booster delete. But it has a custom plenum that has multiple vacuum ports that I can run off of. Thanks for the info.
