i drive a civic coupe with a b16 turbo and when i go into boost i hear a popping sound. it doesnt really sound like a backfire either. i have searched for about an hour and they say detonation sounds like bb's in a can so i dont think that is the problem either. id didnt do it when i first got done with the engine swap but now it does it everytime i go into boost. im using uberdata for engine mgt. any help will be appriciated.

 

u need to get the car tuned. its probably running too rich

 

any other ideas?

 

check the spark plug gap you might be blowing out the spark
