PLEASE! I donīt understand the AVC-R
The manual is a bit a pain in the butt for me and I think it is not a very good description of the features from this unit.
Okay, all I want is that I get the most boost what the Turbo can deliver me as soon as possible (lower rpm). I have set the boost at 1,10 Bar and duty at 50%. Now when I rise the duty to 70% the turbo spools much much quicker in lower rpm, this is what I want. But then again, it shots above 1,5 Bar abover 6000. Not good! I too have playd a bit with the rpm specific duty, but it is hard to learn and Iīm always out of straight streets whhen I test the turbo-sppol-up in 4th and 5th gear. How can I acctivate the self learning process? This was my 1st question.
How can I set a certan amount of boost for 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear? I want a bit lower boost in this gears, cause I donīt get that power to the ground. Also , how can I activate the self learning for the gears? Iīve now setted my own numbers in the gears specific menu.
hm, all I want is the quickest spool up...........like from a manuel boost controler. The Apexi unit should keep the wg closed until my setted boost is reached.
Why the hell can I adjust the boost with duty %, when there is a point for boost seting in Bar? I donīt get it.
HELP ME OUT, PLEASE!

Re: PLEASE! I donīt understand the AVC-R (austrian type-R)
To activate the self learning mode you MUST I repeat MUST have the same boost duty shown on settings as the real time boost.
Example: If I want to set .70kg @ 60% duty cyle, You must hit .70 dead on!! at least when your at max rpm. So if you do not show .70 when you let off, it will never learn! It cannot be .69 or .71. Once you achieved that you should see a **** on the duty cycle!

HA!!!!! How should this be possible? I mean the Apexi see boost on x.xxx. I will not be able to adjust the boost so that iit is exact 0.700 Bar. How do you guys do that?!?!
So when I adjust it to 1.150 Bar, I must play with the duty % that the real time boost is exact on the 1.150 level. OMG, this will take 1 year to find the correct %!

It's supposed to try to learn. You set the boost level to your desired level and then you set the duty cycle to "help" it. It starts with your preset duty cycle and then when you floor the car, it adjusts it to try to maintain your boost level.
When it learns to keep it constant (no spiking), it will show *** for the duty..

man its so easy, set whatever duty cyle if the real time boost shows, 1.15 then change the BST DUTY to show 1.15 and your done with it! After that it will readjust the duty cycle.

Thats the Feedback setting, the lower the number the slower the boost, the higher the number the faster the boost! Gear Learning needs to be enabled. I know its confusing! I'm still learning myself! So many features!

Re: PLEASE! I donīt understand the AVC-R (VTC_CiViC)
DOH!!!! Iīm frustrated now. I adjust the boost to 1.2 Bar and the duty to 47%......then I WOT and after my run I looked to the screen and there were *** in the duty display. I thought YES!!!! it worked. I checked the correction which was made by the unit and all were set at 47% ecept @ 7000 it went up to 51%, then again 47%. I did a check WOT and at 4000 I reached 0,8 Baar and at 5000 I had only 0,6 Bar. WTF!!!!! Iīm doing something wrong?!? I made a second WOT run, but the unit did not change any settings. On WOT in 5th gear I hitted 1.35 Bar.
What should I do now. PLEASE HELP OUT, or the unit is for sell! I donīt want to treat my car always, only to get this freakin unit work correctly.
