PLEASE HELP-turbo on a d question
this is what i have in my motor
d16y8
75mm closed deck sleeves
75mm 9:1 pistons
rods
aebs head studs
srr cam gear
i really dont wanna spend more that 1500 on a turbo kit...........
i was wondering the reliability of a home mafe turbo kit versus a......ebay kit for eaxample......the ones in the 800 to 1000 price range......
basicly i have 1500 to play with and i wanted to know my options and the most reliable way to get some decent power.......
if you were in my shoes what would do?
i also saw the jackson racing supercharger but heard that the power potential isnt really there........
thanks for the help

your smart for not picking up the JRSC. your internals look good. 250-300whp is what id look for.
You can piece a turbo kit together for not alot of money. t3 turbo .42/.48 would be good for the street but might be maxed out

Only 250whp? Should've just done rods and pistons and used the rest of the money for the turbo kit. $1500 will get you an ok setup. If all you really want is 250whp then get the turbo I have. It's a T3 .60/.48. If you don't mind a slightly later spool you can go with the .63 exhaust housing which will help with the top end. It'll get you to 250whp. I spool 10psi by 3900rpms. Very good turbo for the street.

You can get a used one for around $300. Brand new they are around $600. Whole setup depends on what parts you get. With your mods you can push 400+whp.
