pics of my ge sleeved h22a4.....
well, after a very long time, my car is at the shop being reassembled. assuming i didn't forget some major part, i will have it mid-week. :fingers crossed:
golden eagle sleeved the block, bored and honed it, fitted the pistons, rings, and rods to the crank, line bored the mains, micropolished the crank, and finally selected and fitted the bearings. i forgot to send them my front balance shaft so they couldn't finish up and install the oil pump. no biggie.
the pistons are endyn 9.5:1 in the stock 87mm bore. i am a little worried about these pistons, as they look to me like the compression ratio is going to be closer to 9.0:1 than 9.5:1, which was not my goal. i went with a cometic .027" head gasket, so that .005" will add a smidgen back... but not much.
the other changes at the same time are eagle rods, crower cam gears (and the necessary modifications to the valve cover, timing belt cover, and jrsc pulley bracket / cam gear blocker assembly), a clutchmasters clutch and flywheel, 440cc injectors, the efi systems PMS computer and the removal of the JR EMS, JR FMU, and VAFC. i'll be running jim helbing's 9psi pulley for now.
i really like the design of the GE sleeves with their integral tabs. seems like the best of both worlds (open deck vs. closed deck.) i was hoping for that look of a single monolithic iron sleeve, but you can see the little gaps between them. lol.
i will let everyone know how it goes once the car is running and broken in.
please DO NOT email or pm me asking how much x and y or x and z cost at golden eagle. email THEM and they will be more than happy to help you.

I would not worry about the 9.5c/r with the roller wave pistons.. I have been running 15psi on my built ZC with the same pistons and same c/r.

Re: pics of my ge sleeved h22a4..... (AbaZ)
i'm not worried that 9.5 is too high........ worried that 9.0 is too low. it would be sad to go through all the expense of building up the motor only to make less power than stock. i can't run more than about 10psi.

your motor sounds like it's pretty built, why can't you run more than 10 psi?
