you can do it yourself. You'll need a ring compressor, ring expander, rubber mallet, and a good torque wrench.

I can't instant message you and I am not sure if your e-mail is real or not (too tired to see if I get a bounce). What series block did you send off to be resleeved and who did the resleeving? I just sent my B16a block off to GE today to be resleeved (among other things).

Do you know who you are going to send it to yet? I can only recommend Golden Eagle as I have been talking to them since mid December.

I'm sure the more 'experienced' ones here will correct me if I'm wrong but even if you install your pistons (i'm assuming forged aluminum), and new rods, it will throw off the weight with the crank. The crank is perfectly ballanced with your pistons and rods. So if you don't get the crank ballanced with the different weighing pistons/rods, you can seriously damage your engine.

okay, so then i should send the entire rotating assembly........clutch, flywheel, crank, pistons, rods, and crank pulley to GE when I send it in right? Hmmm, if thats the case, I might as well let them install everything too, since I remember Vince saying that they do buildups to now.
edit---I think I read that wrong -- when I get the pistons and rods installed by someone they do the balancing or did you mean GE did it for you?
its getting late

Honing is when they sand the cylinder walls down to make them the right size. They do this so the clearance between the cylinder wall and the side of the piston is to the proper spec. It also puts a rough finish on the cylinder walls so the rings in the piston can seat properly during break-in so they will seal properly.
Am I missing anything?
