HUZZAH!!!!

Anyways, I'm going to be building an exhaust for my turbo setup because I don't want the unwanted attention from loud exhaust and I used to have a b16 CRX with open header and wanted to kill myself after a month....

I ran open downpipe for two years. Two bits of advice:
1. Hang a non-functional muffler in the rear. You'd be amazed how many people won't think twice as long as they see a tip sticking out of the back of your car.
2. Throw it in neutral to roll by cops and/or houses.
That's my two pennies... Open downpipe is great.

If you do run an open down pipe i'd still at least route it towards the back... the only thing i couldn't stand having it come right off the downpipe was the exhaust fumes.

this is what i'm currently running. by extending it out towards the back quiet it down about half.

i had a open downpipe, well actually... no downpipe and it's way too loud and i was running around like this for 2 weeks delivering pizza lol

it's not as loud as N/A as the turbo muffles the sound pretty well, takes that nasty thumpin' noise out of it but it's still mega loud

it's so loud i had to drive very slow around town and i'm glad i've got it sorted now!

what i'd do is run it without a downpipe for a day and see how you like it, it should be pretty much the same as having a short downpipe.

Yeah my friend with a 240 did that except he had it go out the back with a nice stainless tip, and had about a 6 inch resonator. His car sounded like a turbo diesel truck kind of and you could even hear that small t28 spoolin very loud. It was good

Ive been running an open downpipe for about the past 2 weeks and I honestly dont have a huge problem with it. Only thing is my car reaks of exhaust and when you open your window you can smell it worse. The bad thing is about it when you are driving close to a wall and you have your windows down it echos like crazy ...

I could never run an open dp for daily driving.

Do you guys with an open dp get an exhaust smell in the car?

put it out the side.. i had a muffler shop run a pipe right in front of my tire and its to the passenger side so is far from me.. thats all that matters, i had it go straight under and stop about where the fire wall is and it would come in so bad, after a week i changed it.
