why would they have an fmu with 550's? if it has an ems and its tunned, its like driving normal and never hitting boost. So yea you can drive it.

The FMU raises fuel pressure based on boost, so if you are running it on a stock car it would make no difference if an FMU was there or not. But with a stock ECU and 550's the car will not be driveable. What kind of ECU do you have? you could get it chipped and socketed, and have somebody burn you a Crome or Uberdata map for those 550's. That should only cost you around $40-$80 to have somebody else do it.

Man, if you don't know the difference between an FMU an real fuel management, and don't know if you can drive the car or not with 550's and a stock ECU, you really need to do more research before you jump into a turbo project. If you don't, I have the funniest feeling you're going to be making one of those "Why did my motor blow?" posts about 2 weeks afterwards.

FYI my setup will be tuned by jeff at evans tuning...i was just down there this past saturday to pick up a few parts i had ordered (chipped p28, and a walbro). I'm just wondering if i can leave the injectors in or if i should switch them out for the stock ones until i do the install and get tuned. looks like ill be taking the 550's out and putting the stockers in...thanks to those who helped without being an *** about it

If you are picking up a chipped P28 you could just pop in a chip with a 550cc basemap in there and you can still drive your car, even with no turbo. Are you picking up the chip locally or buying it online? who are you buying it from? if you dont have your own chip burning equipment, maybe the person providing your chipped P28 can also give you a chip with the 550cc basemap?
