Default FMU question ???

i have a D15B7 turbo with a FMU running 5-6 lbs, and when i put the throttle to the floor and hit 5 lbs it starts to cut out for some reason. my friend was using this FMU on his GSR turbo also and it was doing the same thing. im not sure what the discs do in the FMU example 12:1 or 10:1 or what I should be running in the FMU or if its just plain bad? so my questions is what the discs do and what ratio i shoul dbe running? can anyone help me out?

the 12:1; 10:1; 8:1 is adding 12/10/8 lbs of fuel pressure per : 1 lb of boost.

Just to let you know; theyre junk.
