Default A couple HOMEMADE turbo questions

First off I did a lil searching and found little information on this

I recently swapped in a D16Z6 into my 89 CRX SI
I am currently converting over to OBD-1 and a P28

I am considering doing a homemade turbo setup
and want to know

prolly going with a t25 adapted to an HF manifold and sidemount IC

How much boost can I safely run???
At 5-6 PSI do I need a FMU????
any other factors Im not considering here???

THX in advance guys

I wouldnt run an fmu past 7psi...I fmu will be needed or get a afc...You could run 4-6 psi safely but I would get some fuel management..

Check my site.

7 psi on FMu is dangerous. Standalone is good.

Internals can take a well-tuned 10 psi for an acceptable period of time.

Follow the turbo projects link. There are a couple setups like what you're doing.

Do some searching.
Yes you will need a fmu and fuel pump if you go that route..I wouldn't run more then 5psi or so with a fmu...A fmu is required for 1+psi of boost.
Or you can get larger injectors (440cc) and a afc .
Or you can go standa-alone like honda....

It's not if your running larger injectors and a lower fmu ratio.
I'm runing 9psi with a fmu but i have larger injectors and a 4:1 fmu.
If your runing stock injectors and a 12:1 fmu your fuel pressure will be way to high. It's just not a safe way to go about getting more fuel....
