Default oil pressure problems....

ok so right now me and my buddy are in the process of putting a turbo kit on his 89 CRX si with a d16z6 swap. the turbo kit is th eapexi ball bearing kit for z6's with custom piping and a front mount. the probolem we are having is we dont have any oil pressure when we try to crank over the car to prime the oil liunes for the turbo. but we also arn't getting any oil to the oil filter either.

the motor is full of oil, and the only thing we changed was the oil pan in favor of one from the stock d16a6 motor that came stock, because it was already tapped for the return line. the baffels in both pans are the same upon visual inspection and are both the same depth. also there is no leaks that we can see but that is pobobly because no oil is getting through the motor at all judging by the oil filter.

so why dont we have oil pressure?

How long are you cranking it? I usually pull the ECU plugs and crank until the oil light goes away, then start as you normally would.

yea that is what we were doing but we still didnt get any pressure, we did solve our problem though we dropped the pan again, and just tapped the z6 pan for the return and put it on. apparently the a6 pan was just too shallow for the oil pickup to do its job, even though the appeared to be the same. no problems now though and now we're spoolin 9 pounds
