what sizes are you guys running for the oil return line(from the turbo to the oil pan)? would a smaller size line cause the car to smoke more than usual?

i'm running a -10 steel braided line. (5/8" ID). If you oil return is clogged or somehow not draining into your oil pan, you could see access smoke. Are you sure your engine is in good condition? compression/leak down tests?good luck

no, coolant is usally white heavy smoke.

but yes, a small return line can cause oil to backup in the turbo and blow the seals.

What size return line are you running? Like mentioned above -10 is the proper size.

When does the car smoke? At idle? during WOT? or on deccel after WOT?

smoking at idle generally means the turbo is clogged up from either too much oil entering from too large of a feed line or too small of a return line not allowing the oil to drain. What size feed/return are you currently running?

generally your return should be larger than your feed. Make a -10 AN drain and a -3 or -4 AN feed and you should be all set, if of course your smoking problem is due to oil flow through the turbo.

Well that is your problem. -3 oil feed, app. 3/16", and a -10 oil return, app. .5" would solve your oil burning problems.... The sooner you fix it the better cause you could end up w/ blown seals on the turbo and we both don't want that. If you need a feed return kit w/ the proper sized lines we can get you one.

Yes, you will still have a problem. A 3/8" feed is allowing way too much oil into the turbo even if you get the right size return to drain it. 3/16" is what you want for the feed.

that should help reduce the oil flow so it should work..... but if you keep burning oil definitly switch to a 3/16" or -3 line.
