oil feed kit doesnt fit my precision sc34
ok got my fast-turbo oil feed/return kit today. i have a brand new precision sc34 57 trim .63 a/r ball bearing watercooled turbo. the oil feed kit is 1/8" npt but also came with a 1/4" npt adaptor. problem is the 1/4" is waay to big and the 1/8" is to small.
what the hell??
also the turbo came with a fitting and there was just a pin hole inside it. and the other fittings in the kit have big holes compared to it so should i get a oil restrictor? btw, the oil feed line is -3an.
thanks!
EDIT: heres a pic, my macro sucks i know.
from left to right:
1) 1/8" NPT fitting
2) fitting that came with turbo
3) 1/4" NPT adaptor
you can see the fitting that came with the turbo is in between 1/8 and 1/4". the 1/8 just slides right in the hole and wont thread at all. and the 1/4" is obviously too big. and my oil feed line is 1/8" NPT. how am i going to get this all to work. somebody has to have a precision sc34 on here.

oddly enough, there is stan saying the sc44 (mine is sc34) is 1/8" NPT...
WHY DO I HAVE A FREAK TURBO?

it loks to be an inverted flare. i think stan sent you the wrong fitting
thats looks to be a 7./16 inverted flare for t25's and 14B turbo

but the oil feed line wont even fit on the fitting that came with the turbo. fitting is too big.. could be a possibility though.. waiting on stan to get back with me. see what he thinks...

You need to use the oil restrictor fitting that came with the turbo.
What you most likely have is a -4an fitting (came with the turbo) and a -3an line. The hole on the turbo IS 1/8NPT. Id see if Stan can hook you up with a -4an line and fittings instead.
The 1/4" fitting should be for the water lines.

Well buddy this is a ball bearing turbo and it NEEDS an oil restrictor. Hey, maybe thats why it CAME WITH the turbo.

well precision told me it came with a -4an oil restrictor fitting. and i have a -3an oil line. how am i going to make this work? it obviously needs a restrictor since it came with it in the fitting supplied. its like a pinhole.

Like I said, talk to Stan and tell him what is up. He will take care of you.
You really only need one new fitting, I know Full-Race has them it stock right now.

Well WhiteSmoke seems to know everything, but according the manufacturer's website its a 360 degree race bearing.
But hey, what do they know BUDDY.
Also, talk to Joe @ PTE he will tell you not to use a restrictor.
545 SC-3431E 56mm 2.230" 2.950" 57 3" / 2" ---->360 Race<------ .48 or .63 T31 2.559" 2.229"

some of you guys are being idiots.
IT IS ball bearing. go ask precision.
it CAME with a restrictor straight from precision. so im going to use a restrictor or rogue works..
now i just need a fitting. i really need a 1/4" FLARE female to 1/8" NPT male fitting. so i can still use the restrictor fitting that came with the turbo. i dont think they make those though. i could make it work with a fitting from the hardware store but then i wouldnt be able to use the restrictor fitting and then would need a restrictor...

First off you have to realize once you get these fitting on your turbo and mount it on your manifold, you dont really have much room to work with, Stacking fittings like that may not work. Its not a 1/4" flare either, its -4an. Just use the fitting that came with the turbo and a -4an line. Or, get a new restrictor fitting for like 15 bucks.

well stan is replying back. i told him when i bought the kit the exact turbo i have and that i wasnt sure what size it was...precision sc34 57 trim .63 a/r ball-bearing watercooled.
but yea -4an line kit would be the best but now i have this kit which is useless to me.
