One would look killer while being installed in your transmission! Is that what you were looking for?

Take it apart, there are gears in there.
I have one in my shed with a trashed ring gear.
Why would you want to get rid of it anyway?
It seems to be of better construction than the newer R factory lsds.

well somewhat of a update...

I was playing around last night on the street and had bad luck!!! I blew the teeth off of 3rd gear!!! (always seems me and 3rd dont get along!) well anyways..we pulled the tranny to find that 3rd was in like 5 pieces but the diff was unhurt!!!! so we dropped another 3rd gear in along with syncro and what I call the collar/slider and its back in action..I will swear by these OBX diffs now!!! if I can blow 3rd gear out of the tranny and the diff was unhurt..its good enough in my book!

will have pics if 3rd gear soon (whats left anyways..LMAO)

FYI..

track day for me is this friday..then we will see if it will take 600 whp (536 on turbo plus a 60 shot wet of nitrous) if it does Iam becoming a dealer for these things!!

99Hybrid_Hatch good job! blowing 3rd that is now we want to see if you can blow the obx. go go go!

btw i understand a metallurgy test would be pretty hard to do, but if someone could whip out a micrometer i would like to see the kind of precision tolerances it has compared to a quaife.

fyi the phantom grip calls for .003-.005 clearance between it and the stock spider gears, if its too little, you gotta grind down the gear.
stock honda spec for backlash between pinion gears of open diff (DA) is .002-006. not sure what this means but you need a dial indicator and the axles connected (on wooden v-blocks) to do this.
maybe some feeler gauges to check for wear?

I'm always broke, but asked Phantom Grip for a test unit, they denied me.

Guess they knew I'd break it with my AWESOME SOHC power!
