hey man, i ordered this stuff like over a week ago , and for some reason it's still not in yet.

can you still hook me up once i get all the parts

San Lenardo takes a bit to ship, but if you have the listed parts, $150 for install still stands, + shims if needed. If not trips planned to Cbus, I only asked you help cover cost of gasoline which is not to bad since I'm getting 40+ mpg.

Im thinking about getting the OBX. Has anyone used an lsd like this in an autocross type race? Are they good or is it better to get the clutch type LSD for autocross?

They could do it right? Ive never tore into a tranny before but wouldnt mind trying it, this would be for a D16

Earls a great guy and I trust his judgment but I can completely understand why his post was deleted. People who sell a one of the products being tested typically aren't the best people to review the products mentioned. Their is a conflict of interest.

if something is on there that people dont like, even though it may be just as good. it gets deleted. WTF

im not saying OBX is better then quaffe in any means, but you get what im saying

So you are advocating the moderators in a "tech" forum should not delete any advertisements from companies or dealers?

You know that it still can be an advertisement even if it sounds fair and scientific right?

yep... I wish Earl sold both products so the thread could have survived.

 

I would love to know why my review was deleted. All I did was note my observations on taking the unit apart. I could have made up all kinds of bad things if I was out to destroy the OBX.
My Quaife sales are the same this year as last year. I guess there is a market for both units. I really feel that most people who ran out and bought the OBX would have never spent that much for a Quaife anyway.
Normally when a thread is deleted, an IM is sent to the maker automatically. I never got an IM. I guess for this to happen, someone very high up on the food chain would have to be the culprit. Not sure.

 

Do any moderators sell OBX products? Does HT get advertising money from OBX?

 

it sucks that thread is gone, there was alot of good info on quaife vs obx and how lsd work. I think it really wasnt too bias and had more good info then drama.

 

has anyone installed the gsr lsd yet? how was the installation? anything i should know before attempting this?

anyone know what parts are needed to isntall it and which dealer has the best pricing?

how are these diffs holding up with everybody???
