I'll be ordering one maybe next week...made $300 commission this week...so I should have enough. Since the other guy was mainly a drag car with the 600whp turbo/nitrous setup...I'll let you know how it holds up to semi-regular basis Mtn abuse. It will be on a SOHC setup with about 180-200whp.

Okay I need help FAST!!!!

We are having clearance issues while installing the OBX LSD in my SI tranny.

The guy told me he couldnt find a shime small enough to have enough clearance.

PLS PLS help me.

My car has been out of busniess for almost a month. I can't afford to not drive it for much longer. This is being a real pain in the *** to get a ride to work everyday.

Pick yourself up a set of bearings from a 90-91 integra tranny. They are the same inside and outside diameter, however they are slightly thinner. By a few millimeters. You will then have to get larger shims.

I believe they are 1.5mm thinner than the newer bearings.

Where am I gonna find bearings for a 90-91 integra tranny? Do they still sell those at the dealer?

Somebody suggested that I only put a shim on one side of the LSD.

Yeah, you can buy them at the dealer.
And yeah, you dont necessarily need a shim on each side. As long as its to spec.

FYI LS and D series EX use the same diff bearings.

Simple eh?

$34 each.

Also ANYTIME a diff is changed, you MUST check shim clearance!!!!!

double check the shim on one side idea...loading the bearing against the aluminum case doesn't seem like a good idea.
