obd2 to obd2 pass through harness
Hi. anybody know a good place to buy just a male and female obd2 connector w pins? Id like to build a pass through and modify it so i dont have to hack my factory wiring. Any idea how much those connectors cost?
Thanks

Im going to play with both. my friend has a p28 w harness for me and so ill try that out and also see how the aem is to tune. Ill decide which i prefer. Its an experiment. i build both and see which seems to allow more power. ill let you know how it all works out.

Re: obd2 to obd2 pass through harness
the chipped p28 will.
the fic has limited timing control, all you can do is retard it... no advancing timing electronically. all you can do is adjust the distributor. Plus since the OEM ecu can't see positive pressure at the map sensor you have to setup all sorts of voltage clamps and limits so the ecu only sees vacuum, as well as a bunch of other stuff for a seamless install that runs properly. it is very time consuming, especially since there isn't anything in the way of a "basemap" provided with the fic, you have to do everything from scratch.
with the p28 it's as easy as plugging the adapter harness and the ecu, load a basemap, and boom, you're on your way. that whole process might take you 15-30minutes versus hours with the fic just for the initial startup

Re: obd2 to obd2 pass through harness
Yeah. the fic has a clamp to limit max intake pressure. So with the p28 and stock injectors i should be able to just plug it in w obd2b to obd1 harness and not alter any wiring? I thought the stock prelude injectors were too small (290s i think). and nothing has to change for my tdc ckp or cyp sensor wiring? im planning on pushing 8psi on the 2001 h22a. The basemap is dependant on the map signal? So not a big deal if im running a different turbo than what the basemap was built for?
Thanks for the info
