Not getting any Boost.... maybe 1psi at 4grand
Man I am confused as hell, I think it just might be my turbo. I might have put it back together wrong. does anyone know how to put a turbo together? I'm not sure if my 360 degree thrust bearing is on backwards which I know would cause the problem. plus I don't know if I have my boost controller hooked up right, I have the compressor housing hooked up to the greddy e-01 sensor then to the top of the wastegate, then the side of the wastegate hooked up to a vacume port. is this all right?

this may sound stupid but i did a drag kit on my friends 00 si and in the process of centering the IC , i pulled loose one of the charge pipes. i would check that first if you havent already. and as far as the boost controller i think you have that correct. the top port goes to the boost controller and the side goes to manifold vacuum.

thanks man, any more suggestions? how about a guide on putting together a turbo, from the 360 degree thrust bearing, turbine pistonm ring and such fourth

If you are not sure how to put a turbo back together, then why did you try?
Pressure test the intake pipes for leaks, but a leak big enough for those symptoms would be HUGE.
I'm very inclined to say that if it is not a problem with the turbo then, it is a problem with the wastegate.

Re: (kpt4321)
Pressure test:
1.) Hold Pressure with no significant leaks? Yes: Go to 4 No: Go to 2
2.)Inspect charge piping and hose connectors, replace/repair as necessary. Return to #1
3.) Drive Car, boosts as normal? Yes: Finished! No: Go to 4
4.) Inspect wastegate dump while engine is running to verify no exhaust gasses are escaping (open wastegate) Valve closed: Go to 5 Valve open: Go to 6
5.) Apply air pressure to the bottom port on wastegate. If wastegate still ceases to function remove and inspect sealing surface and have serviced if necessary. Reinstall. Go to 4
6.) Turbocharger assembly build faulty.
