Default Not boosting over 5 lbs?

My setup is a 1990 CRX, DRAG III kit, DIY MBC, DeltaGate 7 psi spring, Open DP, Hondata s200b. The wastegate opens at 5 psi, I used the MBC to turn it up to 10 psi. Then one night I noticed it was only boosting 5 psi. I turned up the MBC, stayed at 5 psi. I tightened down all couplers and still only 5 psi. No holes or rips in the couplers that I can see. Intercooler piping is fine also. The BOV is a HKS SSQV, bolt on the back is tightened down all the way. When i would get near 0 on my boost gauge I would usually hear the BOV flutter. So I took it 2-3 psi, didnt hear the bov at all. Unhooked the vacuum line going from MBC to wastegate so it should have boosted unlimited, but it stayed at 5 psi. I am down to it is either the turbo or the BOV. If I disconnect the vacuum line going to the BOV should it boost unlimited if that is infact my problem? I would try another BOV but it is a bitch to take off and I dont have access to another one. Please help, 5 psi sucks

by taking the BOV line off, u will not equialize the pressure on both sides of the BOV valve,.. wich means boost will open it if the air pressure is bigger than the srping rate

How are you running all of your vacuum lines? Is there maybe a source that is not creating enough vacuum or maybe too many lines running off of one small line?

I dont think it is the vacuum lines because they were fine before. I have the BOV going to where the vacuum source for cruise control should be, and the boost gauge is tap[ed into the fpr line. It worked like this before so I dont think this is the problem. So if i disconnect the vacuum line going to the BOV it will still only boost 5 psi even if it is infact my problem?

Build a vacuum manifold...cheap, and takes away the headaches of teeing everything.

Are you saying that the vacuum lines are my problem? If they are how come they worked fine before?

You could have boost leaking from a coupler...have you pressure tested your intake tract?

I checked the couplers and they looked fine. I haven't done a pressure test. I just searched on a pressure tester to see how to make one. Didn't fine much info except to use a bike pump with a gauge on it. Anyone have an info on them?

Is it going over 5 lbs and then dropping off to 5? Or is it just going up to 5 psi and staying there?

id say sumthings wrong with your wastegate if it levels off at 5psi all the time.
check ur vac lines and spring to the waste gate

someone correct me if im wrong. just a guess

<edit> could be the MBC too.

i don't think its the wastegate, but I do think it has to do with vacuum lines. I had a similar problem, except I was stuck at 3 lbs. Have you tried adjusting your bov out a little bit? Which port are you using on it as well? I would definitely try using a vacuum manifold, helped me a bunch

How can it be my vaccum lines if the all worked properly before? They are all in good condition.

I backed the BOV bolt a little bit, but not a lot. Before it was all the way tight and it was fine at 10 psi.
