Default Not boosting (help)

Sorry if this thread is a repeat but the search server is down..we put a turbo kit on a gsr last night and everything is hooked up right and all the vaccum lines are right. all the charge pipes are good but we took the car out and the car wont go into boost. could the 5 bolt flange be a cause of no boost if its the wrong kind..thats the only thing we didnt check..please let me know if you have had a similar instance..

check for leaks in your charge pipes and make sure your wastegate is closed.

The fire ring is in the bottom of the wastegate.

Anyone else had a problem not building boost after turbo install..?

you can try to pressurize the charge pipes with a compressor or air pump (engine off). and use soapy water to trace it down.

I had a smiliar problem so I redid my whole charge piping setup and I found out the boots had some cracks in them, and also my boost gauge line had a kink in it.(make sure it is tapped somewhere on the intake manifold) The wastegate may be a problem with the psi it is set at as well.

the car wont build boost when there is no load on the motor. go drive it around and it will build boost
