Default Is this normal?

Ok, I installed a greddy turbo kit on my d16z6 this was about two months ago. Well I just removed the the filter on the intake side of the turbo to check for oil or anything werid, and I cam accross a small amount of something that felt like oil but did not smell like oil at all. Could this just be something from breaking the turbo in? And could it be caused by the turbo seals breaking in seeing how my turbo was brand new? Thanks!

Oh and the intake for the turbo has a hose ran to it from the valve cover, this would probably leave some oil near the turbo huh?

What type of filter are you running? It could just be the oil they use on the air filter that has collected a lot of dirt and grime.

I am using the one that came with the greddy kit, looks like a cheap foam filter.

It was right after where the intake connects to the turbo. I have read some posts where people say it is normal. But I want other point of views.

That is correct If you have the port off the valve cover taped into the air inlet pipe than you proly just pulling oil vapors from the crankcase called blowbye. I highly recomend investing in an after market catch can system to elimate this.

How much U boostin? Could you post us a pic?
