no boost WTF?!? help!
****. i was driving home from denver yesterday and getting onto the onramp. i shifted at about 6k in 1st and was at WOT in 2nd and at about 4500 rpm i hear this loud airy noise and i lose all boost. I was like WTF? I pulled off and popped my hood. everything looked normal except that my bov was stuck open. I took it off and it popped back down. Got in the car to drive home and i still have no boost. I can hear the turbo spool but there is no boost pressure. Car drives just like it did before it was turboed. Runs fine. I have no idea why. TIA

That or you blew a chargepipe in the process after the BOV got stuck open.

even if it looks like its closed a blown diaphragm wont allow the piston to open anyway.
check the charge pipes too.

Buy a duck call from a local sporting goods store and tape it to the discharge port of your BOV then drive around. If you heard ducks when you know you shouldnt be hearing ducks, then your BOV is done for.

Re: (wpgcivic)
Cover the opening of the BOV and drive. If it builds boost it's your BOV. If not then it's probably a charge pipe.
Check all of your couplers. That big "pop" or "boom" is usually a coupler that's come off.
