Default Nitrous troubles

today i just finnished installing my NX wet kit on my d16y8 civic. i put in 1 step colder plugs and retarded the timing by 2 degres and running 91 octane fule (the best i can get in my city). i had the 35 hp jets in so i go out to take it for a test run. i get the engine nice and warm and i hit the nitrous at about 3500 in second gear for about 1-1.5sec. it gave it a little kick and i was happy so i turn the corner to head back to my parking spot as im turning the rpms get real low and its on the verge of stalling. i park in my spot and it stalls. it starts up but not very nicely and it runs at about 2-300 rpm for a few seconds then goes up to normal. when i touch the gas pedal it hesitates and then goes up. i checked the plugs right after and they were just hazed with black not real dark or anything. so then i check the jets, the nitrous one was fine but the fuel one had some flakey **** on the top of it. can anyone try and help me to find out what happened to my engine??

thanks

matt

im thinking it could be a bent valve due to the lean condition that was most likly present. if that is the case i could buy a new head. or am i way off here could the problem be the block?? or could it be as little as a valve job to fix it?? please throw me something here just looking for advice

Did you use tape or liquid teflon on the fittings when you put the system together?
If you used tape it is possible some of it got in the gas solenoid and is keeping the gas solenoid open. Sounds like it is flooding by how long u say it takes to crank & low idle. If your plugs are black the it is rich not lean. If you had a bent or burnt valve car should still idle fine but be skipping and shaking.

if you think you damaged the engine. why not do a compression or leak down test 1st.

ok about 3 hours my last post i went back to my car an it started up like a champ and ran fine but im gonna go get a compresssion test before i spray again. i used the liquid thread sealer that came with the kit. just to clear things up the fuel was not stuck open, on the frist run with the 35hp jets in there must have been some debris in the fuel line somewhere because when i had a look at the fuel jet there was some **** in there blocking it totally so for the second or so i was spraying 35hp it was all nitrous and no extra fuel. also what should i look for when i pull the plugs after a run?
